David Hakim, DDS

Dr. David Hakim brings over 18 years of clinical experience with a focused emphasis on complex root canal therapy and endodontic care. Raised in Los Angeles, he has a deep commitment to the local community, which is reflected in his patient-centered approach and dedication to ethical, high-quality care.

Known for his meticulous and thoughtful style, Dr. Hakim takes the time to listen carefully and approach each case with precision. He routinely manages challenging root canal cases, including teeth with complex anatomy, retreatment needs, and acute dental pain, with the goal of preserving natural teeth whenever possible.

Dr. Hakim earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Southern California before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the USC School of Dentistry in 2007, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List. His commitment to learning extends well beyond formal education, and he continues to stay current with evolving techniques and technology in root canal therapy and restorative care.

His advanced training includes extensive continuing education in endodontics and oral surgery, a ten-month implant dentistry program at Loma Linda University, advanced instruction in minimally invasive aesthetic bonded restorations under Dr. Pascal Magne, and education in dental anesthesiology with Dr. Stanley Malamed.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hakim has volunteered many hours providing care to underserved children and adults, both during his training and in subsequent years. He works closely with the West Hollywood Smile Dental team to ensure coordinated care and a comfortable, well-informed experience for every patient.
